Imagine Dragons was AWESOME
It was a great experience for all of us to take my two grandsons to their first concert, and I was honored. Not a great idea, Mohegan Sun on the night of a concert on a Saturday, first the venue. We had trouble parking, it was soooo crowded. The lots were full, the garages were full. Luckily, I have a tiny car and was able to squeeze in. It was so packed walking through the casino with two kids, I was thinking 'I cant believe my daughter let me take the kids' haha. We made it to the arena safely, and I didn't lose them. We were 4 rows from the top and it is extremely steep. We saw a couple of guys fall running up the stairs holding beers instead of the railing. The floor had no seats and was standing only, ok for the young maybe but not me. The Concert: There were actually 2 opening acts and the main act came on at 9:30 and played for 2 hours so it was a fairly long night. It was advertised to start at 7:30 with one opening act. Ziggy Marley: Many solos, guitar, and lots of drums of course. The lead singer Dan seemed very humble and appreciative of their success. They are all extremely talented musicians. Playing covers of some fun songs, running through the venue high-fiving. Balloons filled with confetti and upbeat songs which gave a party atmosphere. Memorable moments of a song dedicated to a young fan who passed away, and all the lit cameras looked like stars shining in his memory. We all love the famous songs, Radioactive, Demons (my personal favorite), and Its Time. But they played ALL the songs wonderfully. A great song that I had to download wasn't on the album but they did for Hunger Games. Great talent, Great performers, Great Music.
